Útivist is a travel association whose goal is to encourage travel within Iceland in a healthy and enjoyable way. It is a friendly, enriching group, welcoming anyone who wants to join. Anybody can become a member and participate in activities. Útivist offers a wide variety of trips to suit many tastes. In addition, the group emphasizes the marking of trails and building of mountain huts, nature conservation, and the promotion of Iceland as a travel destination. Útivist offers a variety of weekend trips, summer vacation tours and day trips.
Buses depart from the Central Bus Terminal (Umferðarmiðstöðin) in Reykjavík. For day trips, tickets should be purchased at the terminal before departure. Other trips should be booked in advance at the Útivist offices. Please note that Útivist is a recreational association; it does not insure its passengers, nor does it accept responsibility for their property. Útivist reserves the right to cancel any trip with advance notice, if there is inadequate participation.

Confirmation fee is not refundable.  An amount of 5000 ISK is held back as confirmation fee.
